We had a weekend full of fun and sadness. First off, the good stuff. We had absolutly beautiful weather and decided to get out and enjoy it. On Friday Caden and I had the perfect afternoon. We were outside from 1:30 until 4:00 and then came in for an hour of down time. At 6:00 we went back outside and played some more. He loves being outside and it was a good thing to do with him since we couldn't go anywhere because of the chicken pox.
Caden is doing much better today. He is all scabbed over and no longer contagious!!! YEA!!! We actually got to take him out of the house this weekend and let him enjoy being out and about with us! He was such a good boy during all of it. He only itched a little bit on his head and around his diaper area, but other than that he did wonderful!
Mark and I decided that we wanted to redo our landscaping out front, so when he got home on Friday we started our project. This is something that we have wanted to do since Caden was born, so it is about time! We worked until 8:30 and then came in for dinner. It was so nice to start getting the front of our house looking nice. We got some knock-out roses and some bushes for the front. I will have to post pictures when it is all done. We got the stuff planted and got the landscape rock down, so now we are just waiting for our fountain to come in!
The sad part of our weekend was that Mark's grandpa passed away. He was battleing Stage IV colon cancer with metastisis to many of his other organs. It was a blessing that God took him so fast so he didn't have to suffer anymore. Please keep Mark and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
