KU 2008 Annual Report

In early July, I received a call from one of my chemo nurses at KU asking if I would be willing to do an interview with someone for the 2008 Annual Report. They needed a cancer patient who had a positive outcome to do a story on, so of course I said yes! I was really excited about sharing my story. I was called later that day for an interview and we talked for about an hour or so and then that was all I heard from it for a while. Two weeks later I was called and asked if I would be willing for someone to come out and take a picture of Caden and I to go with the story. We went out to mom and dad's house and a photographer and Dana (someone from KU) came out and took pictures of Caden and I. It was so much fun!

On Wednesday of last week I received the KU 2008 Annual Report in the mail, and on page 12 was Caden and my picture and on page 13 was the story! The first time that I read the story was back in August when they came out to take our picture. I had a really hard time reading it. I don't know what it was that made it so hard to read. I have no problem talking about my story, but when I saw it in writing and read everything I went through it was so hard. Anyways, you should check it out on line. Here is the link to the story. 4. On the next page the Annual Report stories will be listed, and my story is Surviving Against All Odds
