Our Journey: Caden's 3rd Birthday!!!

Yesterday was Caden's 3rd birthday! We got up yesterday morning, and he wanted to open his presents 1st thing! So, he went up and got Mark and he opened his gifts from Scott and Laurie as well as Mark and I. He got some Go Diego Go stuff from Scott and Laurie, and we got him some Rescue Heroes along with the command center tower. So, he was extremely excited with his gifts. After we opened gifts, Caden was ready for a nap. So, Caden and I laid down on our couch and fell asleep for about a half hour! That was a power nap that was really needed. We made him homemade waffles with whipped cream on them for brunch! Man was he in heaven!!! After that we went up to get ready.

We took Caden to Paradise Park yesterday and he loved it!!! He was able to do some really fun things there. They have a 9 room area where kids can go and do different things. The first room was a ball pit and a jungle gym to crawl on. He and Mark had never been a ball pit before, so they both had a blast! I had to take some pictures to show how happy they were! Then we went to another section and played a little while and then we headed outside to play on the playground equipment. He was having a great time! They have a cooking time about every 2 hours, so he got a chance to make a mini pizza. He took a biscuit, flattened it, put sauce on it, and topped it with cheese. He loved doing this! Caden always wants to help me in the kitchen, so this was right up his ally. After we left Paradise Park, we went out to "On The Border" for dinner! He always gets a corn dog, but that's what he wanted! We told them that it was Caden's birthday, so they brought dessert with a bunch of people to sing to him! He loved it! He was grinning from ear to ear.

He had a long day and ended up falling asleep on the way home from On The Border at 7:30...that is unheard of for Caden! He slept all night with the exception of getting up twice to have me come in and sleep in his room! He seemed to have a wonderful birthday! I am so lucky to be here and able to celebrate this wonderful day with him! We love you peanut!!!
