Our Journey: First Snowman!

Okay, Okay...So, the first time Caden has ever gotten to really play in the snow was on March 30, 2009! I know what you are thinking...he is 3 and this is his first time getting to play in the snow...what kind of parents are you??? Well, since we don't get much snow down here I didn't buy him boots or gloves this year to play outside in. Last year I got him both boots and gloves and he wore the boots twice, and the gloves once. So, I thought that this year, I would be on the safe side and not get anything. He doesn't have a sled either, so we had to use a boat for the pool to push him down the hill on! On Saturday, March 29th we had a storm go through KC and it left behind snow. Sunday morning when we got up, Mark went outside and shoveled the driveway so that we could go out to Nana and Papa's house to play in the snow! Well, like most of our snow's down here in KC, it was melting fast. We had to hurry to get to mom and dad's to make sure he was able to play in the snow! We got over there at around noon, got his rain boots on with a double layer of socks and Nana's gloves, and headed outside to play. It was great snow to play with...since it was melting it was heavy and was great for making snowballs! We had a snowman built by about 12:30 and then went for a walk in the snow! We had such a great day! It was about 45 degrees and beautiful outside! We enjoyed just being outside as a family and watching Caden have fun running around, making snow balls, and snow angels!
